2001 Integra My dealership told me................

and these are some import loving guys, my tech guy that always works on my car has a mugen Type R, other has a 92 integra, and the other has a 98 GSR, all hooked up.. but the word is that 2001 integra will be the same body style, no word on whether a type R will be released and if it does it will be almost late nov... next, they said 2002 will definetly be a body style change and name drop, not sure on what it is though.. And rumor has it that is going to be on a S2000 Chassis with a 2.0L RR drive, along with a RR drive Honda Prelude, and of course the ugly 2001 civic thats currently at my Honda dealership now, 4dr that is.. U G L Y

The new Civic is definitely "fugly". I am trying to imagine it a little fixed up but all I can picture is an old grandma driving it

I am sitting here speaking to an acura tech and he has confirmed that the 01' teg will be the same as the current body style, and furthermore that the 2002 will be the release of the new body style for the teg. Good news is that is will be released in april 2001 So people.. hold your horses, april is right around the corner!

The integra is due for a redesign for MY2002. It will remain FF and it is expected to have a 2.0L producing 200-220 HP with a 6 speed which will compete with the Celica GTS. The integra name will be dropped and replaced with an alphanumeric name.

The Prelude is expected to be discontinued in the next year or two. The Accord coupe is stealing all of its sales. There is a spy shot of the new Integra in last weeks Autoweek. Search vtec.net for a picture.

Speaking of the 2001 Civic's, did you know they've done away with the double-wishbone front suspension and replaced it with a Mac-pherson strut and bearing plate setup! They might as well call it the 2001 Honda "Beretta". Honda claims the suspension changed so the steering rack could be mounted higher to get more interior room. Bunch of crap. Tom
